About this product
Bambu Lab CyberBrick Beginner Kit
You've printed the benchy, the vase and the desk organiser. CyberBrick is what happens next. It's Bambu Lab's electronics system for making 3D prints move — a set of tiny snap-together modules that drop straight into free printable models from MakerWorld and turn them into radio-controlled cars, trucks, boats, robot arms and desk gadgets.
The Beginner Hardware Kit (ZK004) is the starting point: enough hardware to build one vehicle and one remote control at the same time. Two Multi-Function Core Boards run the show — one in the vehicle, one in the controller — each built around the ESP32-C3 microcontroller with 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on board. Snap on the receiver shield or transmitter shield, plug in the joysticks and motors with the pre-made connector cables, and you have a working RC pair with a control range of up to 100 metres.
Nothing here needs soldering and nothing needs code to get started — every connector is keyed, and the CyberBrick app configures the boards from your phone or PC. When you're ready to go further, the core boards are fully programmable in MicroPython, so the same kit that builds a first RC car on Saturday can drive a custom sensor project the week after. That progression is why it works so well for classrooms and STEM clubs as much as it does for hobbyists.

- One kit, two builds. Two core boards means you assemble the vehicle and its transmitter together — no second purchase needed to start driving.
- Plug-and-play wiring. Keyed SH1.0 and XH2.54 connectors, pre-terminated cables and snap-fit shields. Nothing to solder, nothing to get backwards.
- Grows with the builder. Start with a phone-configured RC car, then move to custom MicroPython scripts, extra channels and your own mechanisms.
- An endless model library. The CyberBrick section of MakerWorld is full of free, print-ready shells designed around these exact modules — RC cars, trucks, tanks, boats, launchers and desk toys.
- Genuinely reusable. Pull the electronics out of one printed chassis and drop them into the next. One kit, dozens of weekend projects.
- Great for schools. Mechanical design, electronics and code in one low-cost package, with consumables you print yourself.

What to print it in
Most CyberBrick models on MakerWorld are designed for PLA, and it's the right default — dimensionally accurate, easy to print and stiff enough for chassis and body panels. Reach for something tougher when the build calls for it:
- PLA / PLA Matte — the standard choice for shells, chassis and cosmetic parts.
- PETG — better for parts that flex or live in a hot car boot through an Australian summer.
- ABS / ASA — for outdoor builds that need UV and heat resistance.
- TPU 95A — tyres, bumpers and anything that should absorb an impact.
Prints on any Bambu Lab machine — A1 mini, A1, P1 and X1 series — and on most other FDM printers with a 0.4 mm nozzle.
