Your A1 mini already nails the top surface. The bottom one is usually the afterthought — flat, glossy and plain. The 3D Effect Plate changes that: swap it onto the heatbed and the first layer picks up a decorative texture as it prints, so the finished part comes off the bed already patterned. No sanding, no resin coat, no vinyl, no second operation.

It is a straight swap for the plate that came with your printer. Drop it on the magnetic bed, change one setting in Bambu Studio, and print as normal. Four textures are available — Carbon Fiber, Diamond, Galaxy and Starry — and this listing is the 180 × 180 mm size made specifically for the A1 mini.

Which configuration is right for you?

All four share the same size, temperatures and setup — the only difference is the pattern they press into your first layer. Pick on the look you want and the filament you print most.

Still deciding? If you print mostly in black or dark silk, take Galaxy. If your filament shelf is all over the place, Starry is the safest bet. If you want something that reads as a deliberate pattern, go Diamond. And if you print functional parts and want them to look professional rather than decorative, Carbon Fiber is the one.

How it works

• Fit it: remove your existing plate and sit the 3D Effect Plate on the A1 mini's magnetic heatbed.
• Set it: in Bambu Studio, set Plate Type to Smooth PEI Plate / High Temp Plate. The effect plate has no QR code, so it will not auto-detect.
• Skip LIDAR calibration on this plate — the reflective surface confuses the sensor. Run your flow and first-layer calibration on a standard plate instead.
• Print: PLA at 60–65 °C bed, TPU at 35–45 °C. No glue stick — adding glue buries the texture.
• Keep it clean: wash with hot water and detergent. Fingerprints and grease are the number-one reason the pattern stops showing up.
