Bambu Lab PAHT-CF is a carbon-fibre reinforced PA12 nylon that holds its strength and shape at temperatures where PLA, PETG and ABS give up — the filament to reach for when a printed part has to behave like a real engineering component.
PAHT-CF stands for Polyamide High Temperature — Carbon Fibre. It’s a PA12 nylon base loaded with chopped carbon fibre, and it sits at the serious end of Bambu Lab’s engineering range. Where standard nylon soaks up moisture from the air and turns brittle and stringy, PA12 absorbs roughly half as much — so PAHT-CF keeps its mechanical properties and dimensional stability far better in humid conditions, which matters a great deal in an Australian workshop. The carbon fibre adds stiffness and reduces warping, and the whole composite stays strong and rigid at temperatures that would leave a PLA part sagging on a shelf.
This is a material for functional parts rather than display pieces: drone and RC frames, jigs and fixtures that live near heat, under-bonnet and engine-bay brackets, tooling, robot arms and end effectors, gears and bushings, and replacement machine components that need to survive real loads. It’s aimed at makers, small manufacturers, engineering workshops and TAFE or university labs — not a first-week beginner filament, but very approachable if you’ve already printed ABS or ASA successfully.

Like all Bambu Lab spools, PAHT-CF carries an RFID tag, so an X1, P1 or H2 series printer with an AMS reads the material type and colour automatically and loads the tuned profile for you — no guessing at settings on a $100+ spool.

PAHT-CF is offered in a single technical black — the carbon fibre content gives it a subtle matte, slightly speckled finish that hides layer lines well on functional parts.
Dry it before every print, without exception. Even though PA12 absorbs less moisture than ordinary nylon, PAHT-CF is still hygroscopic and a damp spool is the single most common cause of disappointing results — you’ll see popping and steam at the nozzle, furry stringing, poor layer adhesion and brittle parts. Dry at 80 °C for 8–12 hours in a filament dryer or oven, and print straight from a dry box if you can. Between prints, seal the spool in an airtight container with fresh desiccant rather than leaving it on the printer.
Set the machine up for abrasive material first. Fit a hardened steel nozzle before you load this spool — a brass one can wear noticeably within a single large print, and a worn nozzle quietly ruins dimensional accuracy long before it fails outright. Keep the part cooling fan low, slow the first layer down, and give tall or wide parts an enclosed, draught-free chamber. Because carbon fibre makes the material stiff, avoid tight filament path bends and let the spool unwind freely.
Nour Engineering Solutions accepts returns or refunds for change of mind or wrong items ordered within 30 days from the purchase date. Customers need to return the items to Nour Engineering Solutions, ensuring the items are in brand new, unused condition. Customers will also be charged for the cost of the original shipping and a re-stocking fee equal to 10% of the order value.
In case of items arriving damaged or wrong items being sent to the customer, Nour Engineering Solutions will be responsible for either exchanging stock for the customer or issuing a refund.
In the case of defective returns, refunds will only be issued after the items are returned to Nour Engineering Solutions. Nour Engineering Solutions will be responsible for the return postage, and the customer should provide reasonable assistance for the defective items to be picked up by courier, such as packing the items and printing shipping labels.
Once the order is dispatched, it is the customer’s responsibility to follow up the shipment. If the items arrive damaged, the customer should notify Nour Engineering Solutions within 2 business days after receiving the order. If the item does not arrive within 2 business days of the expected delivery date, the customer should notify Nour Engineering Solutions immediately. Nour Engineering Solutions may refuse to refund or exchange items if the customer fails to do so.
In case the first delivery attempt is unsuccessful, the parcel will be forwarded to the local Post Office or News Agency. Failure to pick up parcels within the required timeframe may result in the parcel being returned to Nour Engineering Solutions. In this case, customers will be responsible for the costs associated with re-sending the parcel.
