One plate, two finishes. The Dual-Texture PEI Plate puts a powder-coated textured PEI surface on one face and a smooth PEI sheet on the other, bonded to a flexible spring-steel core. Print a batch of functional parts on the matte side, flip it over for a glossy first layer on a display piece — all without buying or storing a second plate.

It's a genuine Bambu Lab plate cut specifically for the A1 mini, so the 180 × 180 mm footprint and magnetic backing line up with the heatbed exactly as the stock plate does. Handy as a straight replacement for a worn or scratched surface, or as a spare so you can keep printing while one plate cools.

• Textured PEI side (0.075 mm powder coating) — the everyday workhorse. Gives parts a fine matte base, hides minor first-layer imperfections, and handles PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA and PVA with no glue at all. Let the bed drop to room temperature and most prints release on their own.
• Smooth PEI side (0.125 mm sheet) — when you want a shiny, perfectly flat bottom face. Ideal for vase-mode prints, lithophanes, signage, name plates and anything where the first layer is a visible surface. A thin film of glue stick is recommended here for anything beyond PLA.
• Bend-to-release spring steel (0.4 mm) — lift the plate off the magnetic bed and flex it. Parts pop free without prying, which protects both the model and the coating.

Compatible materials & bed temperatures

A note on high-temp materials: the table above is the plate's full material chart. The A1 mini is an open-frame printer, so the high-temperature filaments listed (ABS, ASA, PC, PA and similar) are not generally recommended on this machine regardless of the plate — stick to PLA, PETG, TPU and PVA for reliable results.

Care & cleaning

• Wash with warm water and dish soap, then dry fully. Finger oils are the most common cause of sudden adhesion loss.
• Use isopropyl alcohol for a quick wipe between prints, but wash properly with soap every so often — IPA alone smears oils around.
• Clean glue residue off with warm water before swapping sides.
• If bubbles appear under the smooth PEI sheet, heating the plate on the bed at 80 °C or above for a few hours will usually settle them.
• Avoid metal scrapers on the coating — flex the plate instead.
