Bambu Lab PLA Silk Multi Color is a high-gloss silk PLA that blends several tones into a single strand, so a single-nozzle print comes off the plate with a smooth colour gradient — no swaps, no painting.
PLA Silk Multi Color takes the easy-printing behaviour of standard PLA and adds a high-shine silk finish with more than one colour drawn into the same strand. As the print progresses the tones blend into each other, so vases, spirals, low-poly figures and single-wall models come off the build plate looking like a multi-material print — from one spool, on one nozzle. It is a straightforward material to run, which makes it a good pick for hobbyists chasing a display-quality finish, makers selling printed products, schools running showpiece projects, and small businesses producing gifts, awards and retail samples.
Typical uses: decorative vases and planters, cosplay and tabletop props, Christmas and event decorations, phone stands and desk pieces, gift items, and any model where surface shine matters more than mechanical strength. It runs on any 1.75 mm FDM printer with a standard brass nozzle — Bambu Lab X1, P1 and A1 series, plus Prusa, Creality, Elegoo, Anycubic and similar machines — and the spool is RFID-tagged so Bambu Lab printers with an AMS read the material profile automatically.

Choose your colourway from the dropdown above — every option shares the same specs and print settings:
Midnight Blaze (13902) Neon City (13903) Blue Hawaii (13904) Velvet Eclipse (13905) Dawn Radiance (13912) Aurora Purple (13909) South Beach (13906) Mystic Magenta (13913) Phantom Blue (13916)
Dial the gloss in with temperature and speed. Silk PLA gets shinier as the nozzle runs hotter and the outer wall runs slower, so if a print looks dull, push the nozzle towards 240 °C and drop the outer wall speed to around 30 mm/s before changing anything else. Keep models simple — single-wall vases, spirals and smooth curved shapes show the colour transition best, while dense supports and ironing tend to scuff the finish.
Store it dry, and watch the strand on A-series machines. Silk PLA picks up moisture like any PLA — keep the spool sealed with fresh desiccant below 20% RH between prints, and dry it at 55 °C for 8 hours if you start seeing popping or stringing. Multi-colour silk filament has a slightly oval cross-section, so the strand can rotate as it feeds and shift where the colour changes land; Bambu Lab notes this risk is higher on A-series printers, so run it on an X1 or P1 series machine where you can and expect a little variation in the gradient — that is normal, not a defect.
