About this product
Bambu Lab Multi-Size Hotends Kit — A1 / A1 mini
Your A1 or A1 mini came with a single 0.4 mm hotend, and it is a good all-rounder. But a 0.4 mm nozzle is a compromise in both directions: too coarse for a 28 mm miniature's face, too slow for a full-size cosplay helmet. This kit gives you genuine Bambu Lab hotends in the other sizes, so you stop fighting the nozzle and start choosing it to suit the job.
Each item in the kit is a complete hotend assembly with the nozzle already fitted — not a bare nozzle. That matters, because swapping a whole hotend on the A1 series is a tool-free quick-clamp operation that takes well under a minute, with no spanner, no thermal paste and no risk of cross-threading a hot nozzle. The ceramic heater and thermistor stay on the printer, so there is nothing to unplug.

Which configuration is right for you?
Three bundles are available. The key thing to know: the two- and three-nozzle options assume you keep using the stock 0.4 mm that came with your printer, while the four-nozzle option replaces it with a hardened 0.4 mm that can handle abrasive filament.
| Configuration | Hotends | Choose it if… |
|---|---|---|
| 0.2 mm + 0.6 mm | 2 | You want to cover both ends of the range — fine detail and faster bulk printing — and are happy to keep your stock 0.4 mm for everyday jobs. The sensible starting point. |
| 0.2 mm + 0.6 mm + 0.8 mm | 3 | You regularly print large items — props, vases, planters, bins, jigs — and print time is your main frustration. The 0.8 mm is the biggest single speed gain available. |
| 0.2 mm + 0.4 mm + 0.6 mm + 0.8 mm | 4 | You print abrasive carbon- or glass-fibre filament at the standard 0.4 mm size, or you run a shared printer at a school, makerspace or workshop and want every size on hand plus your original nozzle as a spare. |
What each nozzle size is actually good for
- 0.2 mm (stainless steel) — Tabletop miniatures, jewellery masters, scale model parts, small gears and anything with fine embossed text. Slow, but the surface finish is the best the machine can produce. Because it is stainless rather than hardened, avoid carbon-fibre, glass-fibre and metal-filled filaments: the fine orifice is the quickest in the range to wear and clog.
- 0.4 mm (hardened steel, in the 4-size kit) — The default size, built tougher. Identical slicer behaviour to your stock nozzle, but hardened so abrasive filaments do not chew it out.
- 0.6 mm (hardened steel) — The best balance for functional printing. Substantially faster than 0.4 mm on bulk geometry and the thicker extrusions bond better, producing stronger brackets, enclosures and mounts. Still clean enough for most visible parts.
- 0.8 mm (hardened steel) — Maximum throughput. Big, simple shapes finish in a fraction of the time. Choose it when the deadline matters more than the surface finish.
What's in the box
- One complete hotend per nozzle size in your chosen configuration, each individually boxed with its nozzle pre-installed
- Not included — and not needed: the ceramic heater and thermistor are part of the Hotend Heating Assembly that stays mounted on your printer. These hotends carry no electronics, so there is no plug, power supply or adapter involved.
- No tools, thermal paste or consumables required to fit them

Who it's for
Hobbyists and makers who have outgrown a single nozzle size and want miniatures and fast functional parts from the same machine. Small businesses producing batch parts, where moving to 0.6 mm or 0.8 mm cuts hours off every run. Schools and makerspaces, where a spare hotend on the shelf is the difference between a one-minute fix and a week of downtime. And anyone printing carbon- or glass-fibre filament, who needs hardened steel rather than the stock stainless nozzle.
