About this product
Bambu Lab Multi-Size Hotends Kit — H2D / H2S / H2C (Left) / P2S / X2D
Nozzle size is the single biggest lever you have over print time and print quality, and on the H2 and P2/X2 platform changing it takes about a minute. This kit bundles genuine Bambu Lab hotends — each one a complete unit with the nozzle already fitted — so you can move between fine detail and fast, chunky output without ever touching a nozzle spanner.
Swapping is deliberately simple: let the hotend cool, unlock the latch, lift the old unit out by its heatsink, seat the new one flat and close the clip. The heater, thermistor and hotend cooling fan live in the Hotend Heating Assembly and stay on the printer, which is why these boxes contain a hotend and nothing else.

What's in the box
Two, three or four complete hotends depending on the configuration you choose. Each one ships in its own 60 × 60 × 30 mm box containing Hotend with Nozzle ×1 — no heater cartridge, thermistor, cooling fan or silicone sock, because those components remain on the printer. If you're replacing a hotend rather than adding a size, nothing else is required.
Which configuration is right for you?
| Configuration | Hotends included | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| 0.2 mm + 0.6 mm | 2 — one stainless, one hardened | You already run the stock 0.4 mm and just want the two extremes: fine detail and faster everyday printing. The best-value entry point. |
| 0.2 mm + 0.6 mm + 0.8 mm | 3 — one stainless, two hardened | You regularly print large or functional parts and want serious throughput from the 0.8 mm, while keeping detail capability. |
| 0.2 mm + 0.4 mm + 0.6 mm + 0.8 mm | 4 — one stainless, three hardened | Busy printers, print farms, schools and workshops. Adds a hardened spare of the everyday 0.4 mm so a clog or a wear-out never stops a job. |
Quick rule of thumb: if you only ever want a detail option, choose the two-size kit. If your prints are getting bigger, choose three. If the printer earns its keep, choose four — the spare hardened 0.4 mm pays for itself the first time a nozzle clogs mid-job.
Nozzle sizes explained
- 0.2 mm — stainless steel. Crisp miniatures, embossed lettering, tight-fitting mechanical detail. Because the orifice is so small, Bambu Lab advise against filaments carrying carbon fibre, glass fibre, metal or other inorganic particles — PLA-CF, PLA Aero, PLA Glow, PETG-CF, ABS-GF, ASA-CF, PAHT-CF, PET-CF, PA6-CF, PPA-CF, PPS-CF, TPU and PVA are all prone to clogging it.
- 0.4 mm — hardened steel. The all-rounder and the size with the widest material support. Hardened, so unlike a stock stainless nozzle it shrugs off abrasive filled filaments.
- 0.6 mm — hardened steel. The sweet spot for most makers: meaningfully faster than 0.4 mm with only a modest loss of fine detail, and stronger walls from the wider extrusion.
- 0.8 mm — hardened steel. Large-format and functional work. Fewer perimeters for the same wall thickness means big parts finish in a session instead of overnight.
A note on flow: every hotend in this kit is a standard flow unit, rated to 40 mm³/s maximum volumetric speed — the same spec as the hotend your printer shipped with. Bambu Lab's High Flow hotends (65 mm³/s) are a separate product line; this kit is about covering nozzle sizes, not raising the flow ceiling.
Practical uses
- Tabletop and display models — 0.2 mm for the figures, 0.6 mm for the bases and terrain.
- Product prototyping — 0.4 mm hardened for CF-filled test parts, 0.8 mm for quick form-and-fit mock-ups.
- Classrooms and makerspaces — a 0.8 mm gets a full class's prints off the bed before the bell.
- Small-batch production — keep a spare hardened 0.4 mm in the drawer so a worn nozzle costs you minutes, not days.
- Jigs, brackets and workshop fixtures — 0.6 mm or 0.8 mm in a filled filament for parts that need to survive being used.

Before you order
Check your printer family first — Bambu Lab sells a different version of this kit for the A1/A2L, X1/P1 and H2C-right positions, and they are not interchangeable. If you own an H2C, this is the kit for the left (lifting) hotend. Everyone on an H2D, H2D Pro, H2D Laser, H2S, H2S Laser, P2S or X2D is in the right place.
