About this product
Bambu Lab Support for PLA/PETG Filament
Overhangs, bridges and internal cavities are where good prints usually go wrong — not because the model fails, but because removing the supports wrecks the surface underneath. Bambu Lab Support for PLA/PETG solves that with chemistry rather than force. Its polarity differs from standard PLA and PETG, so the two materials sit against each other without ever properly bonding. The support holds its shape while printing, then snaps away by hand, leaving the finished face intact.
This is a multi-material filament, so you'll need an AMS, AMS lite or AMS 2 Pro (or a manual filament swap) to run it alongside your model material. It suits anyone printing articulated models, figurines, functional brackets with steep overhangs, architectural work, or classroom projects where students shouldn't be attacking prints with a knife. It's a specialist consumable — used for interface layers only, a single 0.5kg spool lasts a very long time.
Key Features
Tool-free break-away removal Works with PLA & PETG Protects surface finish RFID auto-detection AMS compatible Reusable high-temp spool Low 190°C print temp
Note that this is a break-away support, not a dissolvable one — it is water-insoluble and comes away mechanically. That's an advantage for most makers: no wash tank, no drying cycle, no waiting overnight for a part to release.
Print Settings
- Nozzle temperature: 190–220°C
- Bed temperature: 35–60°C
- Print speed: under 100 mm/s
- Cooling: part cooling fan on
- Drying: 75°C for 8 hours if the spool has absorbed moisture
In Bambu Studio or Orca, assign this filament to the support interface only and leave the support body in your model material. You get the clean release where it matters and use a fraction of the spool doing it.

Available Colours
Nature (65102) Black (65103)
Both colours share identical specifications and print settings. Choose Nature as the general-purpose default, or Black when you want a clear visual line between support and model on light-coloured prints — it makes the interface much easier to spot during removal.
Tips From Our Workshop
Avoid setting this material as the base or raft layer under tree supports — because it deliberately resists bonding, tree structures printed on a support-material base can work loose mid-print. Keep it on the interface layers and let your model material carry the structure below.
Like all Bambu filaments this one is hygroscopic. Store it sealed with desiccant at under 20% RH between jobs. If your supports start printing stringy or the interface stops releasing cleanly, moisture is almost always the cause — dry the spool at 75°C for 8 hours and it'll come back.
