About this product
Bambu Lab Toolhead Camera — H2S
Your H2S does a lot of quiet work before the first layer even goes down, and the toolhead camera is what makes that possible. Mounted on the right-hand side of the toolhead, this 1080p module lets the printer check its own motion accuracy, set nozzle offsets precisely, and recognise the codes on your build plate and laser pad. If yours has been damaged during maintenance, knocked out of alignment, or your printer has started failing calibration routines, this is the genuine Bambu Lab part (CAM009) that puts it right.
It's the correct variant for the H2S and H2S Laser specifically — the H2D/H2C camera is a different part with different mounting screws, so ordering by model matters here.
1080p / 30 fps Genuine part CAM009 H2S & H2S Laser Screws included AU stock
What it does
- Motion accuracy calibration — the printer uses the camera to verify how accurately the toolhead is actually moving, so the mechanics stay honest over time.
- Precise nozzle offset adjustment — essential on a dual-nozzle machine, where a small offset error between hot ends shows up as misaligned multi-material prints.
- Build plate and laser pad code recognition — the camera reads the identification code on the plate you've loaded, and on the laser pad for H2S Laser owners, so the machine knows what surface it's working on.
- 1080p at 30 fps — a clear enough image for the vision routines to do their job reliably.
Which H2 camera do you actually need?
The H2 series has several separate cameras and they're easy to mix up. This listing is the toolhead camera — the calibration and code-recognition camera described above. It is not the nozzle camera (the close-up module used for first-layer and failure monitoring), and it is not the live view camera that streams your print in the app. Those are different parts with their own part numbers. If you're troubleshooting a specific fault and aren't sure which camera is involved, get in touch before ordering and we'll help you identify it.
Who it's for
- H2S owners repairing a fault — calibration failures, offset errors or plate recognition problems traced back to the camera.
- Anyone who has had the toolhead apart — cameras and their connectors are easy to damage during a hot end or fan service.
- Schools, workshops and print farms — a sensible spare to keep on the shelf so a machine isn't out of action waiting on a part.
- H2S Laser users — the same camera handles laser pad code recognition.
What's in the box
- 1 × Toolhead Camera (CAM009)
- 2 × BT2-8 mounting screws
Fitting note: this is a user-replaceable part, but it's electronics work — power the printer off at the wall before you start. When disconnecting the ribbon connector, hold the base of the connector and lift straight up, perpendicular to the board; never pull sideways, as that damages the connector. Bambu Lab publishes the step-by-step procedure in the H2 Series maintenance wiki. Note that the H2S uses BT2-8 self-tapping screws rather than the machine screws used on the H2D/H2C camera — don't swap screws between the two parts. Hand tools are not included.
