Bambu Lab Filament Track Switch — H2C
$92.99inc. GST
Stop re-grouping spools by hand — the Bambu Lab Filament Track Switch unbinds your AMS units from fixed nozzles so your H2C can pull any filament to either hotend. Motorised 2-in / 2-out router — any AMS slot can map to either nozzle, reassigned mid-print by the slicer This variant is the H2C configuration (the same SA016 hardware also lists for H2D and X2D) Complete kit: switch, 6-pin cable, 2× 700 mm + 2× 400 mm PTFE tubes, mounting and spare screws Powered straight from the printer's 6-pin port — no plug pack, no AU mains adapter needed Needs H2C firmware v01.01.50.00 (beta) or later; the printed holder is model-specific and not included 🇦🇺 Ships from Australia

About this product
Bambu Lab Filament Track Switch — H2C
On a dual-nozzle Bambu Lab machine every AMS is hard-wired to one hotend — left AMS feeds the left nozzle, right AMS feeds the right. That means re-grouping spools by hand whenever the slicer wants a colour on the other side. The Filament Track Switch is a small motorised router that sits between your AMS units and the printer and unbinds the AMS from specific nozzles, allowing any filament to feed into any nozzle regardless of configuration. With one AMS and the switch fitted, a single AMS can support dual-nozzle printing and swap filament between the left and right hotends — no moving spools, no re-plugging PTFE tubes mid-job.
It's a genuinely useful upgrade for anyone running multi-colour or soluble-support jobs on an H2C: makers printing two-tone functional parts, small businesses batching colour variants, and schools where nobody has time to babysit a spool swap. It is not magic — it adds a little resistance to the filament path and it changes how external spools work — so the practical limits are spelled out below before you buy.
What it does
2 inlets / 2 outlets Any AMS slot → either nozzle Dynamic mid-print mapping Powered by the printer Plastic & metal build
- No more manual re-grouping. You don't have to move the spool or reconnect the PTFE tube when the colour or support material is on the other side.
- Dynamic filament mapping. The slicer assigns filaments to nozzles and the switch routes them, including reassignments part-way through a print.
- Two AMS, two feeds. With two AMS units feeding the two inlets you can keep filament loaded on both sides at once. With a single AMS the two hotends feed alternately — the printer unloads one, then loads the other — not simultaneously.
- Runs off the printer. A single 6-pin cable carries power and data, so there's no second power brick and no AU plug or voltage to worry about.

Before you buy — three things worth knowing
- You need to print the holder yourself, and it's model-specific. Bambu Lab publishes a dedicated H2C/H2D holder file; the X2D holder is not interchangeable. Print it before you start the install.
- Firmware matters. This is an H2C unit and the H2C needs firmware v01.01.50.00 (beta) or later — the general release that enabled it was v01.02.00.00 on 1 June 2026. Pair it with Bambu Studio v2.5.3.60+ and Bambu Handy v3.18.0+. Older guides written before mid-2026 list different model support; check your printer's firmware page, not a third-party list.
- External spools and the switch don't mix. An external spool is not compatible with dynamic mapping through the Filament Track Switch — if you need to print from an external spool, the switch has to come off. Bambu also recommends keeping feed-sensitive filaments (PLA-CF, PLA Silk, PLA Glow) out of the switch, and keeping the AMS-to-switch PTFE run under 700 mm, because the switch does add resistance to the filament path.
