About this product
Bambu Lab High Flow Hotend — H2D / H2S / H2C (left) / P2S / X2D
The standard hotend on the H2 and P2S generation tops out around 40 mm³/s. This High Flow version keeps the same body, the same latch, the same 350 °C ceiling — and redesigns the melt zone so the plastic has more time and more surface area to reach temperature. The result is a published maximum of 65 mm³/s, about 62.5% more flow, and up to 30% off the clock on flow-limited prints. Nothing about your printer changes except how fast it can commit material to the plate.
65 mm³/s max flow 350 °C Hardened steel + DLC Tool-free latch swap 0.4 / 0.6 / 0.8 mm
What you actually get from high flow
- Speed without a resolution penalty. The usual way to print faster is a bigger nozzle. High flow lets you keep 0.4 mm detail and still move more material — or go to 0.6 mm and move a lot more.
- Fewer under-extrusion surprises. Large solid infill regions, thick walls and tall vase-mode prints are where the standard hotend runs out of melt; this one has headroom to spare.
- Abrasive-ready as standard. Every size is hardened steel with a diamond-like carbon (DLC) coating, so carbon- and glass-filled filaments don't wear the orifice open over a few hundred hours.
- A genuine quick-change part. On this generation the heater, thermistor and fan live in the Hotend Heating Assembly that stays bolted to the printer. The hotend itself releases on a latch — no tools, no wiring, no bare-vs-complete decision to make.
Which configuration is right for you?
| Nozzle | Best for | Detail | Published flow (PLA Basic / PLA Matte / PETG HF) |
|---|---|---|---|
|
0.4 mm FAH063 |
The default upgrade. Detailed functional parts, mixed job queues, classrooms and shared machines where print profiles need to stay familiar. | Highest | 40 / 48 / 32 mm³/s (standard flow: 24 / 28 / 24) |
|
0.6 mm FAH064 |
The throughput sweet spot. Jigs, brackets, enclosures, batch production and carbon-filled engineering filaments. | Good | 40 / 40 / 40 mm³/s |
|
0.8 mm FAH065 |
Large-format and draft work. Planters, shop fixtures, full-size prototypes, pattern and tooling parts. | Coarse | 40 / 40 / 40 mm³/s |
Short version: if you're replacing a worn 0.4 mm and want everything to behave the same but finish sooner, take the 0.4 mm. If most of what you print is functional and nobody inspects the layer lines, the 0.6 mm will save you the most time per week. The 0.8 mm is a specialist — brilliant for big parts, wrong for anything with fine features. Many H2D owners keep a 0.4 mm and a 0.6 mm and swap by job.

What's in the box
- Bambu Lab High Flow Hotend with nozzle ×1, in your chosen size
That's the complete kit for this generation — no screws, sock or thermal paste required, because the heater cartridge, thermistor and part-cooling hardware stay with the printer's Hotend Heating Assembly. If that assembly itself is damaged, it's a separate part and we stock it.
Who it's for
Owners of an H2D, H2S, H2C, P2S or X2D who are waiting on prints more than they're waiting on ideas: makers running long overnight jobs, small businesses doing short production runs, schools and workshops that need a plate turned around between classes, and anyone printing abrasive carbon- or glass-filled filament who wants a nozzle that holds its diameter. It's also the right call as a wear replacement — a hotend is a consumable, and replacing a tired one with this is a straight upgrade.
Good to know before you swap
- Let the hotend cool fully before releasing the latch — 350 °C metal stays hot for a while.
- Select the matching nozzle size and type in Bambu Studio / Handy after fitting so flow and line widths are calculated correctly.
- On the H2C, this hotend fits the left (lifting) position.
- High flow raises the ceiling, not the floor: you'll see the biggest gains on large, solid, flow-limited models and very little on small detailed parts that are already travel-limited.
