About this product
Bambu Lab Hotend — H2D / H2S / H2C (left) / P2S / X2D
A nozzle is a wear part. Print enough carbon-fibre nylon, glow PLA or metal-filled filament and the tip rounds off, walls go fuzzy, and dimensions start drifting — and sooner or later someone yanks on a clog and the whole thing needs replacing. This is the genuine Bambu Lab hotend for the current H2 and P2/X2 generation, and it's the part that makes that a one-minute job instead of an afternoon.
Bambu split the toolhead on these machines: the ceramic heater, thermistor and hotend cooling fan live in a separate Hotend Heating Assembly that stays bolted into the printer, while the hotend and nozzle come out as one piece on a quick-release latch. There are no connectors to unplug, no thermal paste to reapply and no PID retune afterwards — you unlatch the old hotend, drop the new one in, and confirm the nozzle size on the screen. That's also why this part is far cheaper and simpler than the bare-vs-complete hotend split on the older X1 and P1 machines.

Which configuration is right for you?
All four options here are Standard Flow hotends — identical bodies, identical 350 °C rating, identical fitment. The only thing that changes is the nozzle: its diameter and what it's made of.
| Option | Nozzle material | Abrasive filaments? | Choose it for |
|---|---|---|---|
| 0.2 mm | Stainless steel | No — plain PLA/PETG/ABS/ASA only | Miniatures, fine text, jewellery masters. Slowest, finest detail. |
| 0.4 mm | Hardened steel | Yes | The default. What your printer shipped with and what every stock profile targets. |
| 0.6 mm | Hardened steel | Yes — fewer fibre jams | Functional parts, brackets, enclosures. Faster and stronger than 0.4 mm. |
| 0.8 mm | Hardened steel | Yes — widest bore | Large props, drafts, moulds, fixtures. Fastest, coarsest finish. |
Still deciding? If you're replacing a worn nozzle, pick the same size you already run — almost always 0.4 mm. If you're building out a nozzle set, 0.4 mm plus 0.6 mm covers the vast majority of real work, and you add 0.2 mm or 0.8 mm only when a specific job demands it.
The 0.2 mm warning, in plain English
The 0.2 mm nozzle is stainless steel, not hardened, and its bore is very small. Bambu's own compatibility chart rules out every filament carrying carbon fibre, glass fibre, metal or other inorganic particles — that includes PLA-CF, PLA Glow, PLA Aero, PETG-CF, ABS-GF, ASA-CF, ASA Aero, PAHT-CF, PET-CF, PA6-CF, PA6-GF, PPA-CF, PPS-CF, PVA and TPU. Run those through a 0.2 mm and you'll get a blockage, a worn tip, or both. Everything else in this range is hardened steel and handles them fine.
Who it's for
- Anyone running abrasives — CF and GF filaments are hard on nozzles; a spare hotend on the shelf means a worn one never stops a job.
- Makers who switch between detail and speed — keep two or three sizes loaded and change the whole hotend in under a minute instead of unscrewing nozzles hot.
- Small businesses and workshops — a clogged nozzle on a Friday afternoon is a lost weekend of production. Spares are cheap insurance.
- Schools and makerspaces — hotends are the most commonly damaged consumable on a shared printer, and this design is safe and simple enough for supervised students to change.
- H2C owners — note this is the left toolhead hotend; the right-hand induction hotend is a different part.

A note on High Flow
Bambu also sells a High Flow hotend for these printers that roughly doubles throughput, rated to 65 mm³/s. It's a different part and it's not listed here — every option on this page is Standard Flow, which is what the printers ship with and what stock Bambu Studio profiles assume. If you're chasing maximum speed on large parts, ask us and we'll point you at the High Flow version.
