About this product
Bambu Lab Hotend Heating Assembly — H2C (Left)
On the H2C, the hotend itself is a quick-swap cartridge — the part that actually heats it, grips it and reports its temperature is this heating assembly, and it stays bolted to the toolhead. Bambu Lab describes it simply: "The Hotend Heating Assembly is designed to heat the hotend and enable quick hotend replacement. The heating assembly secures the hotend with a clamping mechanism, allowing easy removal for maintenance or replacement."
This is the genuine Bambu Lab FAH028 left-side assembly. If your H2C's left nozzle has stopped reaching temperature, throws a heater or thermistor error, or the heating block has been damaged by a crash or a big blob of filament, this is the replacement part — and it's the same unit fitted to the left side of the H2D, so service information for either machine applies.

Left side only — please read before you order
The H2C is a two-system machine. The left nozzle is a conventional resistively heated hotend, and that is what this assembly serves — it's shared with the H2D. The right side is the Vortek multi-material setup, where the swappable induction hotends are heated by a separate Induction Heating Assembly – Right. Ordering this part for a right-side fault will leave you with a component that physically cannot be fitted, so check which nozzle is affected first.
Left and right heating assemblies are not interchangeable anywhere in the H2 family, and A1-series assemblies are not compatible with H2-series machines.
What it does
- Heats the hotend. Metal and ceramic construction built to serve the H2C's full 350 °C nozzle ceiling, so the whole Bambu filament range — including the high-temperature engineering materials — stays on the menu.
- Clamps the hotend in place. The clamping mechanism is what makes hotend changes a quick job rather than a teardown: the hotend releases, the assembly stays on the toolhead.
- Restores a dead left nozzle. The usual candidates for replacement are no-heat faults, temperature-reading errors, or heater-block damage after a failed print.
Who it's for
H2C and H2C Laser owners doing their own maintenance — makers keeping a machine productive, small businesses and print farms holding a spare on the shelf, and schools or workshops where a dead nozzle means a stalled class. The job is a screwdriver-and-Allen-key repair, well within reach of a careful first-timer who follows the Bambu Lab wiki steps.
What's in the box
- 1 × Hotend Heating Assembly – Left (FAH028)
- 1 × Baffle Plate
- 4 × M2.5-7 screws
- 2 × M1.6-4 screws (these secure the cable sheet and the wind blocker / baffle)
Not included:
- The hotend and nozzle — a separate Bambu Lab part
- The hotend cooling fan and its air duct — separate parts again
- The H2.0 Allen key needed for the mounting screws
Fitting notes
- Power off and disconnect the supply before you touch the toolhead, and let the hotend cool completely first.
- One tool does the job: an H2.0 Allen key (not supplied).
- Route the assembly cable out from the side of the heating base — don't let it get pinched underneath.
- The part is powered entirely by the printer's own toolhead wiring: no plug pack, adapter or AU power lead is involved.
- Follow the official procedure on the Bambu Lab wiki for your machine before starting.
