About this product
Bambu Lab Hotend Heating Assembly — H2S
The hotend heating assembly is the part of your H2S toolhead that actually makes heat. It wraps the quick-swap hotend in a clamping bracket, carries the heater that melts your filament, and holds the sensor that tells the printer how hot the nozzle really is. Because it clamps on rather than bolting through the hotend, you can release it, pull a hotend out and drop a new one in without disturbing the heater wiring — and because it stays on the toolhead when hotends come and go, a heating fault that follows you across every hotend you fit usually points straight back to this assembly.
This is the genuine Bambu Lab service part, FAH046, for the H2S and H2S Laser. It arrives with the screws and the thermal insulation foam you need to finish the job, so you're not hunting through a spares tin mid-repair.
Genuine part FAH046
H2S & H2S Laser
Heater + thermistor in one
Quick-release clamp
~25 minute swap
Screws & foam included
Why you'd need one
- The nozzle won't heat at all, or heats far slower than it used to — with every hotend you try.
- Temperature errors and odd readings mid-print, or thermistor-related error codes on the screen.
- A failed print has wrapped the assembly in plastic. Filament blobs bake onto the heater and the metal clips; once it's that far gone, replacing beats picking.
- Damaged hotend metal clips — if the clamp no longer grips a hotend firmly, the assembly is the part to renew.
- Keeping a spare on the shelf if the H2S is earning its keep in a workshop, classroom or small production run, so a heating fault costs you an afternoon rather than a week.
Who it's for
Any H2S or H2S Laser owner doing their own maintenance. It's an approachable repair — Bambu Lab's own guide puts it at roughly 25 minutes — but it does mean opening the toolhead: loosening the part cooling fan, removing the toolhead rear cover, and unplugging the heating assembly connector before the new part goes in. If you've changed a nozzle or a fan before, you'll be fine. If this is your first time inside a toolhead, follow the official H2S wiki procedure step by step and take the connector warnings seriously: lift connectors straight up rather than sideways, and power the printer off at the wall first.
What's in the box

- M3-10 Screw × 3

Bambu Lab doesn't publish component-level electrical figures for this assembly is unconfirmed rather than estimated, and we'd rather say so than guess.
Good to know
- This is not the hotend itself. The hotend (the heatbreak-and-nozzle cartridge) is a separate part — this assembly is the heater and sensor that clamps around it. If your nozzle is worn, clogged or you're changing diameter, you want a hotend, not this.
- It isn't a camera or fan part. H2-series toolheads carry several serviceable modules; check the part number FAH046 against your fault before ordering.
- No separate power supply or plug needed — it runs off the printer's own toolhead wiring.
- Always power the printer off at the wall before opening the toolhead, and lift connectors vertically off the PCB rather than pulling them sideways.
