Bambu Lab H2C Induction Hotend — Right Rack
The H2C does multi-material differently. Instead of one nozzle purging its way between colours, it carries a fixed hotend on the left and a rack of up to six swappable induction hotends on the right. Each one is a complete, independent nozzle with its own filament loaded, so the printer changes material by changing hotend — seven materials in a single print with no purge tower, and up to twenty-four when you add AMS units behind it. This listing is for one of those right-rack induction hotends, available in seven nozzle and flow configurations.
The engineering behind the swap is the interesting part. Each hotend attaches magnetically and connects through a contactless high-frequency power and signal interface — there are no metal contact pins to oxidise, bend or wear out over thousands of changes. Induction heating takes the nozzle to PLA temperature in roughly 8 seconds, so docking and undocking costs you very little time. Each hotend also stores its own filament information locally, which means the printer knows what is loaded the moment it picks one up, and dual temperature sensors (nozzle and heatsink) back up integrated overheat, overvoltage, short-circuit and open-circuit protection.
~8 s to PLA temp Contactless interface Magnetic mount 350 °C max Onboard filament memory
Important: this is the right-side hotend
The H2C uses two different parts. The left (lifting) position takes the conventional H2-series hardened steel or tungsten carbide hotend. The right position — the induction rack — takes this part, and only this part. It fits the H2C and H2C Laser. If you are replacing or upgrading the left-hand hotend, you need the H2-series hotend instead; ask us and we will point you at the right one.
Which configuration is right for you?
Two decisions: nozzle size (detail versus speed) and flow tier (how much plastic the melt zone can push per second). Volumetric figures below are Bambu's published maximums tested with PLA Basic.

Stainless or hardened steel?
Only the 0.2 mm nozzle is stainless. It gives a beautifully clean fine orifice but wears fast against filler, so it is limited to unfilled filaments — no carbon- or glass-fibre, no TPU, and Bambu also rules out marble, sparkle, wood and glow PLA. The 0.4, 0.6 and 0.8 mm nozzles are hardened steel and will happily run abrasive engineering filaments.
Standard or High Flow?
High Flow raises the ceiling on how fast the hotend can melt plastic — the biggest jump is at 0.4 mm (25 to 40 mm³/s), with 0.6 and 0.8 going from 30 to 40 mm³/s. Choose it if your prints are large, solid, or run in batches, or if you need TPU 90A/95A, which Bambu recommends on High Flow hardened steel only. Stay with Standard if you mostly print detail parts, or if you run PLA-CF or PETG-CF — those two are marked not recommended on High Flow. TPU 85A is not supported on any nozzle in this range, and silk PLA is not recommended at 0.6 mm and above.
A sensible starter set
Most H2C owners build the rack up over time. A common mix is a Standard 0.4 mm hardened as the daily driver, a Standard 0.6 mm for functional work, a High Flow 0.4 mm for batches and flexibles, and a 0.2 mm stainless kept aside for detail jobs. Because each hotend remembers its own filament, you can leave them loaded and ready.

What's in the box
- 1 × Bambu Lab H2C Induction Hotend (Right) in your chosen nozzle size and flow tier
That is deliberately all there is. The induction coil and rack electronics live in the printer, and the hotend latches into them magnetically — nothing to wire, no thermal paste, no screws, no AU plug pack. If a rack component itself needs replacing, we stock the latch, dock, rack frame and cable parts separately.
Who it's for
-
Makers and hobbyists expanding an H2C past the colours and materials the rack arrived with
-
Small businesses and workshops wanting a spare hotend per material so production never stops for a nozzle change
-
Schools and makerspaces keeping a replacement on the shelf for the inevitable clogged or damaged nozzle
-
Anyone printing abrasives who would rather sacrifice a hardened nozzle than contaminate their clean PLA hotend

H2C Induction Hotend (Right) — Standard Flow · 0.2 mm Stainless Steel
The detail specialist of the H2C induction range. A 0.2 mm stainless steel nozzle lays down very fine extrusions for tabletop miniatures, scale model detail, embossed lettering, jewellery masters and small mechanical features that a 0.4 mm nozzle would soften. It drops into the right-hand Vortek rack alongside up to five other hotends, attaching magnetically through a contactless power and signal interface and reaching PLA temperature in about 8 seconds, so you can leave it loaded and let the printer pick it up only for the detail passes.
Finest detail Stainless steel tip ~8 s to PLA temp
What to know before you buy
The tip is stainless, not hardened, so keep it on unfilled filaments. Bambu's compatibility chart rules out marble, sparkle, wood and glow PLA, every TPU, and all carbon- or glass-fibre filled materials, and does not recommend galaxy, translucent or silk PLA. Throughput is modest by design — 2 mm³/s against 25 for the 0.4 mm hardened hotend — so choose this when surface detail matters more than print time, and keep a hardened hotend in another rack slot for abrasives.

H2C Induction Hotend (Right) — Standard Flow · 0.4 mm Hardened Steel
If you add only one induction hotend to the rack, make it this one. The 0.4 mm hardened steel nozzle is the balance point of the range: fine enough for functional detail and legible text, quick enough for real parts at 25 mm³/s, and compatible with more filaments than any other size in the lineup. It is the sensible default for a second or third material slot, and the one most H2C owners reach for day to day.
Best all-rounder Abrasive-ready 25 mm³/s
What to know before you buy
Hardened steel means filled filaments are on the menu — PLA-CF, PETG-CF, PA-CF, glass-filled ASA and similar will not chew out the orifice the way they would a stainless tip. Flow is more than twelve times the 0.2 mm nozzle, so ordinary parts finish in ordinary times. TPU 85A is not supported on any nozzle in this range, and the softer TPU 90A/95A grades are only recommended on High Flow hardened steel, so pick the High Flow 0.4 mm if flexibles are a regular job. Like every hotend here it heats by induction, reaching PLA temperature in roughly 8 seconds, and carries dual temperature sensors with overheat, overvoltage, short-circuit and open-circuit protection.

H2C Induction Hotend (Right) — Standard Flow · 0.6 mm Hardened Steel
The practical choice for parts that need to hold up rather than win a beauty contest. Wider extrusions mean fewer perimeters for the same wall thickness, better layer bonding and noticeably shorter prints on chunky geometry — workshop jigs, printer upgrades, enclosures, drone frames and tooling. Paired with a finer hotend in the next rack slot, the H2C can rough out bulk in 0.6 mm and switch to 0.4 or 0.2 mm for the detailed sections without a purge tower.
Strong functional parts Abrasive-ready 30 mm³/s
What to know before you buy
Against the 0.4 mm hardened hotend this one lifts the volumetric ceiling from 25 to 30 mm³/s and lays a much wider bead, so large parts come off the plate sooner. The trade is resolution: small text, thin ribs and tight tolerances belong on the 0.4 or 0.2 mm. Bambu does not recommend silk PLA at 0.6 mm or larger, and the Aero foaming filaments are flagged the same way. Everything else — PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, PA, PC and the carbon- and glass-filled grades — runs fine on a hardened tip.

H2C Induction Hotend (Right) — Standard Flow · 0.8 mm Hardened Steel
When the part is large and the deadline is short, the 0.8 mm hardened steel induction hotend earns its slot in the rack. A very wide extrusion fills volume quickly and produces genuinely tough walls, which suits cosplay props, vacuum-forming bucks, sand-casting patterns, workshop fixtures and first-pass prototypes where the shape matters more than the surface finish. Schools and makerspaces like it for the same reason — fewer long print hours at risk, more finished parts per week.
Large parts, fast Thick, tough walls 30 mm³/s
What to know before you buy
Its volumetric ceiling matches the 0.6 mm hotend at 30 mm³/s, but the wider bead covers more ground per pass, so the real-world saving on bulky geometry is significant. Expect visible layer lines and softened small features — that is the trade. Silk PLA and the Aero foaming filaments are not recommended at this size, and TPU 85A is unsupported across the range. If you want the same large bead with more headroom still, the High Flow 0.8 mm lifts the ceiling to 40 mm³/s.

H2C Induction Hotend (Right) — High Flow · 0.4 mm Hardened Steel
This is the one to fit when you want 0.4 mm resolution without 0.4 mm print times. The High Flow melt zone lifts the volumetric ceiling to 40 mm³/s — roughly 60% more than the Standard 0.4 mm hotend — so infill, solid layers and long perimeters all move faster while the extrusion width, and the detail you see on the finished part, stays the same. For small businesses running batches off an H2C it is usually the single most valuable hotend in the rack.
40 mm³/s Detail without the wait TPU 90A / 95A capable
What to know before you buy
Two things set the High Flow tier apart. Throughput: 40 mm³/s against 25 for the Standard 0.4. And flexibles: Bambu lists TPU 90A and 95A as supported on High Flow hardened steel only, so this is the hotend for phone bumpers, gaskets and wheels. Two cautions — TPU 85A is not supported on any nozzle in the range, and PLA-CF and PETG-CF are marked not recommended on High Flow, so keep a Standard hardened hotend in another rack slot for fibre-filled work.

H2C Induction Hotend (Right) — High Flow · 0.6 mm Hardened Steel
Wide extrusions plus a high flow ceiling is a strong combination for production work. At 40 mm³/s the 0.6 mm High Flow hotend keeps the melt zone fed when the slicer asks for genuinely fast solid layers and infill, which is exactly where a Standard hotend starts to limit you. Think repeat runs of brackets, housings, fixtures and spare parts in PETG, ABS or ASA, with another material waiting in the next rack slot and no purge tower between them.
40 mm³/s Batch production TPU 90A / 95A capable
What to know before you buy
Against the Standard 0.6 mm hotend you gain a third more throughput — 40 mm³/s versus 30 — at the same bead width, so the hotend stops being the bottleneck on big solid regions. It also joins the High Flow 0.4 and 0.8 as one of the hotends cleared for TPU 90A and 95A. The usual size limits still apply: silk PLA and the Aero foaming filaments are not recommended at 0.6 mm and above, PLA-CF and PETG-CF are not recommended on High Flow, and TPU 85A is unsupported throughout the range.

H2C Induction Hotend (Right) — High Flow · 0.8 mm Hardened Steel
Widest nozzle, highest flow ceiling — this is the configuration to load when raw throughput is the goal. A 0.8 mm bead fed at up to 40 mm³/s turns multi-day prints into overnight ones on large, mostly solid geometry: cosplay armour, display props, foundry patterns, vacuum-forming bucks and oversized workshop tooling. Keep a finer hotend in another rack slot and the H2C can switch to it mid-print for the detailed sections, with no purge tower in between.
Fastest in the range 40 mm³/s Large-format work
What to know before you buy
Over the Standard 0.8 mm hotend you gain a third more volumetric headroom — 40 mm³/s versus 30 — which matters most on thick walls and dense infill, exactly the geometry people buy a 0.8 for. It is also cleared for TPU 90A and 95A along with the other High Flow sizes. Accept the trade-offs: fine detail, small text and thin features are out of scope, silk PLA and Aero foaming filaments are not recommended at this size, PLA-CF and PETG-CF are not recommended on High Flow, and TPU 85A is unsupported across the range.
