About this product
Bambu Lab Laser Module — turn your H2-series printer into a laser engraver and cutter
The Bambu Lab Laser Module bolts onto the H2 platform you already own and adds a genuine second manufacturing process. Same machine, same bed, same software — now it engraves and cuts. Both versions use a 455 nm ± 5 nm blue semiconductor laser with an 850 nm infrared height sensor so the head focuses to the actual surface of the material instead of a guessed Z height. Both include air assist to keep smoke off the workpiece and a built-in flame sensor that pushes a notification to your phone and sounds a buzzer if something ignites.
There are two modules in this family, and the only real question is throughput versus fine detail. The 10W has the finer spot and the wider printer support. The 40W has the speed and the depth.

Which configuration is right for you?
| 10W — A$488.10 | 40W — A$1,558.00 | |
|---|---|---|
| Best for | Engraving-led work: photos, fine text, tags, coasters, leather, slate, anodised aluminium, gifts | Cutting-led and batch work: thick ply, layered signage, boxes, market stock, classroom sets |
| Detail | Finer — 0.14 × 0.03 mm spot resolves small serif text and photo tone | Bolder — 0.14 × 0.2 mm spot, excellent for graphics and filled areas |
| Speed | 400 mm/s | 1000 mm/s — 2.5× faster |
| Single-pass basswood | 6 mm | 15 mm |
| Engraving area | 310 × 270 mm | 310 × 250 mm |
| Works with | H2D, H2D Pro, H2S, H2C | H2D, H2D Pro, H2C — not H2S |
Short answer: if you own an H2S, the 10W is your only option. If most of your work is engraving and the occasional 3–6 mm cut, the 10W does it for a third of the price. If you're cutting thicker stock, running repeat orders, or time on the machine is a business cost, buy the 40W.
What you can make
- Makers & hobbyists: engraved coasters and cutting boards, model-making parts, layered plywood signs, leather patches, personalised tools
- Small business: branded packaging inserts, retail signage, custom gift lines, name badges, engraved knife and tool handles
- Schools & TAFE: design-and-tech projects on one enclosed machine — students go from CAD to printed part to laser-cut assembly without changing rooms
- Materials: wood and plywood, bamboo, cork, leather, rubber, dark acrylic, stone/slate, and marking on metal sheet

Before you order — read this bit
- Laser edition vs upgrade: if your printer didn't come as a Laser version, the module alone isn't enough. You'll also need the H2 Laser Upgrade Kit — laser safety windows (front, left, right) and top protection plate, air pump with assist tube and cable, smoke ventilation pipe and adapter, laser platform with slats, birdseye camera, emergency stop button, plus install hardware. It's an advanced install; watch Bambu Lab's install videos first.
- H2S owners: the 10W module only.
- Ventilation is not optional: laser cutting produces smoke and fine particulate. Duct the 100 mm outlet outdoors or through proper filtration, especially at 40W.
- Eye safety: the module is a Class 4 laser. It's rated Class 1 only when correctly installed with the safety windows fitted and the enclosure closed — don't run it open.
- Not sure what fits your machine? Message us with your printer model and we'll confirm the exact parts list before you spend anything.
