About this product
Bambu Lab Silicone Sock for Hotend — H2C
The H2C runs two hotends: a fixed hotend on the left and an induction hotend on the right, fed by the Vortek tool changer. Each one wears a silicone cover, and they are two different parts — so this listing has two options. Pick the side you're servicing, or grab both and have the whole toolhead covered.
Whichever you choose, the job the cover does is the same: it insulates the heating block so nozzle temperature stays stable, and it isolates impurities — stopping stray filament from soiling the nozzle and showing up in your prints. Both options are genuine Bambu Lab parts and both are supplied as a pack of three, because silicone covers are consumables rather than a one-off fix.

Which configuration is right for you?
| Left Hotend | Right Hotend | |
|---|---|---|
| Fits | The fixed left hotend | The right-hand induction hotend |
| Bambu Lab part | FAH022 | FAH067 |
| Also used on | H2D and H2S — same sock | H2C only (incl. H2C Laser) |
| Pack contents | 3 × silicone sock | 3 × silicone sleeve |
| How it comes off | Open the toolhead front cover, pull diagonally downward | Park the induction hotend from the screen first, then slide it off |
| Choose it if | Your left-side sock is split, loose or caked in filament | Your induction hotend's sleeve is torn, loose or upsetting wiping/levelling |
Still deciding? If you print multi-material every week, both sides wear at a similar rate and most owners end up replacing them together. If you only occasionally call on the tool changer, the left-hotend sock will be the one that needs attention first.
When to swap a silicone cover
- Cracks or tears — heat escapes through the opening and printing temperatures get unstable
- Looseness or detachment — the nozzle and heating block are no longer shielded from cold chamber air
- Deformation after long high-temperature jobs, so it no longer sits tight
- Filament building up on the heating block more often than it used to
- Discolouration or brittleness — the cover is near the end of its life
- Friction wear from moving parts such as the nozzle wiper
Keeping a pack in the drawer is the point: a five-minute, tool-free swap on a cold printer is far cheaper than chasing temperature drift or scraping a filament blob off a heating block.
Who it's for
Any H2C owner doing their own maintenance — hobbyists keeping a single machine tidy, makers and small print businesses running the tool changer hard, and schools or workshops that want consumables on the shelf before a class or a deadline rather than after. No experience needed: the printer is off (or parks the hotend for you), and nothing is unscrewed.
What's in the box
- 3 × silicone hotend cover for the option you select
- No tools are required or supplied — none are needed
