About this product
Bambu Lab Textured PEI Plate — H2C (330 × 320 mm)
This is the full-size textured PEI build plate made for the Bambu Lab H2C — 330 × 320 mm of powder-coated PEI on magnetic spring steel, matching the printer's maximum footprint corner to corner. It's the plate most H2C owners print on day in, day out: PLA and PETG stick without glue, parts release with a flex once the bed cools, and every part bottom comes off with a clean matte texture that hides layer artefacts and fingerprints.
A build plate is a consumable. The coating wears where you print most, and a scrape or a stubborn nylon part can take a patch out of it. Having a second plate on the shelf means you pull a finished print off, drop a fresh plate in and start the next job in seconds — which is the whole point of a magnetic plate in the first place. Workshops, classrooms and small production benches usually run two or three.
Why this plate
- Strong first layers without the fuss. The textured powder coating gives PLA, PLA-CF, PETG, ABS and ASA a mechanical key to grab onto — no glue stick, no brim gymnastics, no first-layer babysitting.
- Full H2C build area. 330 × 320 mm of usable surface, so you can use every millimetre the H2C offers for big single parts or dense plates of small ones.
- High-temperature rated. The surface is rated to 180 °C, which covers the 90–110 °C bed temps that engineering materials like PC, PA and ASA want.
- Double-sided. Both faces are coated — flip it when one side starts to show its miles and you've effectively got two plates.
- Tool-free swaps. Drops onto the H2C heatbed magnets and locates on the rear stops; lift it out with the front tabs when the bed has cooled.
- Prints come off cleanly. Let the bed drop below about 40 °C, lift the plate out and flex it — parts release instead of needing a scraper leaned on them.

Who it's for
- H2C owners who want a spare so the printer never sits idle waiting for a plate to cool.
- Small businesses and print farms running back-to-back batches — swap plates, restart, deal with the parts later.
- Schools and makerspaces where plates get handled by lots of hands and a backup matters.
- Anyone replacing a worn plate after a few hundred hours of PETG, nylon or the odd over-enthusiastic scrape.
- A2L owners — the same 330 × 320 mm plate fits that printer too.
What's in the box
- 1 × Bambu Lab Textured PEI Plate, 330 × 320 mm (FAP035), textured PEI coated on both sides
- Protective packaging — no tools, glue or adhesive sheets are included or needed for installation
Materials & bed temperatures
Bambu Lab's published bed temperatures for the Textured PEI Plate. Most materials need nothing but a clean surface; only TPU, PC and PA benefit from a thin coat of glue stick as a release layer.
| Material | Bed temperature | Glue |
|---|---|---|
| PLA / PLA-CF / PLA-GF | 45–60 °C | Not needed |
| PETG / PETG-CF | 60–80 °C | Not needed |
| PET-CF | 80–100 °C | Not needed |
| ABS / ASA | 90–100 °C | Not needed |
| PC / PC-CF | 90–110 °C | Recommended |
| PA / PA-CF / PAHT-CF | 90–110 °C | Recommended |
| TPU | 35–45 °C | Recommended |
| PVA | 45–60 °C | Not needed |
Looking after it
- Wash with warm water and a drop of dish soap when prints start lifting — skin oils are almost always the culprit. Dry fully before printing.
- Never use acetone or other organic solvents on a PEI coating; they attack the surface.
- If adhesion drops after heavy use, a light scuff with 600-grit sandpaper will restore the texture's grip.
- Let the bed cool before removing parts — releasing a hot plate is what chips coatings.
