About this product
Bambu Lab Cool Plate SuperTack — 256 mm
SuperTack is Bambu Lab's answer to the oldest complaint in FDM printing: first layers that lift. The coating grips PLA and PETG hard at bed temperatures well below what a textured PEI plate needs, which means less warping on long flat parts, less elephant's foot, and far less of the thermal cycling that slowly cooks your model's base. When the plate cools, the grip backs off and the print comes away.
This is the 256 × 256 mm plate, sized for the A1, P1P, P1S, P2S, X1, X1C, X1E and X2D. It drops straight onto the existing magnetic heatbed — no brackets, no modification, no recalibration beyond the usual auto bed levelling.
256 × 256 mm No glue needed PLA at ~45 °C Spring steel base 300+ print lifespan
Why a cool plate at all?
- Lower bed temperature, less warping. Bambu Studio's SuperTack profiles run PLA around 45 °C rather than the ~65 °C a textured PEI plate wants. A cooler bed means less heat creeping up into the first few centimetres of your model.
- Genuinely strong adhesion. Tall, thin or large-footprint parts that normally need a brim often don't on SuperTack — useful for functional prints where you'd rather not clean up a brim edge.
- No glue stick, no routine cleaning. The coating works dry. Wash it with warm water and a little detergent only when it visibly needs it.
- Smooth bottom finish. The surface is flat rather than textured, so the base of your print comes out glossy — good for display pieces, badges, signage and anything that sits face-down.
- It lasts. Bambu rates the coating at under 20% adhesion loss after 300 prints.
Who it's for
Hobbyists and makers printing mostly PLA who are tired of fighting adhesion. Schools and makerspaces, where "no glue stick required" removes a consumable, a mess and a step students forget. Small businesses running batches of flat-bottomed parts that need a clean, consistent underside. If you print heavily in TPU, ABS or ASA, this isn't the plate for those jobs — keep a textured PEI or engineering plate alongside it.
Which configuration is right for you?

| Best if… | You already own a scraper, or you're buying a spare plate to swap between jobs | It's your first SuperTack plate, or you've been levering prints off with whatever's on the bench |
| Our pick for | Second and third plates in a multi-printer setup | Most buyers — SuperTack grips hard enough that the right tool pays for itself |
Short version: if you don't already have a dedicated scraper, take the bundle. The single most common way to ruin a SuperTack coating is prying at a cold, strongly-adhered print with a sharp improvised tool.

What's in the box
- Cool Plate SuperTack: 1 × Cool Plate SuperTack (256 × 256 mm)
- Cool Plate SuperTack + Mag-Alloy Scraper: 1 × Cool Plate SuperTack (256 × 256 mm), 1 × Mag-Alloy Scraper, 1 × extra blade, 1 × adhesive-backed steel plate for magnetic storage
Getting the best out of it
- Select the right plate in Bambu Studio or Handy before slicing so the SuperTack temperature profile is applied — running it at full PEI temperatures makes removal unnecessarily hard.
- Let it cool. Give the plate about five minutes off the bed; most prints will release with a gentle flex. If something is still locked on, warming the bed to around 50 °C usually frees it.
- Flex, then scrape. Bend the plate first and only use the scraper for the last stubborn corner.
- Keep a second plate if you print continuously — it removes the cooling wait from your turnaround entirely.
- Handle by the edges. Skin oils are one of the few things that reduce SuperTack's grip.
