About this product
Bambu Lab Multi-Size Hotends Kit — X1C / P1 Series
One nozzle size cannot do everything well. A 0.4 mm is a sensible default, but it is slow on a big enclosure and too coarse for a 28 mm miniature. This kit gives your X1 Carbon, P1P or P1S a matched set of genuine Bambu Lab hotends in different nozzle sizes, so you can pick the right one for the job in about a minute.
Crucially, each size comes in its own complete hotend assembly rather than as a loose nozzle. There is no hot-tightening, no cold-pull, no risk of cross-threading a nozzle into a heat block at 250 °C. You release two screws, lift the hotend out, drop the next one in, and run a quick calibration. Keeping each nozzle size permanently seated in its own hotend also means no purge-and-contaminate between material changes.

Which configuration is right for you?
All three configurations contain the same genuine Bambu Lab standard-flow hotends — they differ only in which nozzle sizes are included. The key question is whether you want a replacement 0.4 mm, because only the four-hotend set includes one.
| Configuration | Hotends | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| 0.2 mm + 0.6 mm | 2 | The popular starting point. Adds fine detail and faster large prints either side of the stock 0.4 mm you already own. Ideal for hobbyists who want more range without over-buying. |
| 0.2 mm + 0.6 mm + 0.8 mm | 3 | For makers who often print big. Adds the fastest standard-flow size for enclosures, tooling, fixtures and cosplay. Still assumes you keep your stock 0.4 mm. |
| 0.2 mm + 0.4 mm + 0.6 mm + 0.8 mm | 4 | The complete set, and the only one including a 0.4 mm — in hardened steel, so it upgrades rather than duplicates your stock hotend. Best value per hotend; suits schools, maker spaces and small production. |
What each nozzle size is actually good at
| Size | Material | Use it for |
|---|---|---|
| 0.2 mm | Stainless steel | Maximum fineness. Miniatures, scale models, raised text and logos, jewellery masters, small moulds. Slowest of the four — use it when the surface matters more than the clock. |
| 0.4 mm | Hardened steel | The balanced all-rounder and the size most profiles are tuned around. Toys, mechanical parts, prototypes, decorative objects. Hardened, so it handles CF and GF filaments. |
| 0.6 mm | Hardened steel | The sweet spot for functional printing. Roughly double the flow area of a 0.4 mm, so meaningfully faster and stronger. Brackets, jigs, fixtures, structural parts. |
| 0.8 mm | Hardened steel | Fastest standard-flow size. Large structural and engineering parts, enclosures, planters, cosplay shells. Fine detail is off the table, but big parts finish far sooner. |

What's in the box
- Bambu Lab hotend × 2, 3 or 4 depending on the configuration you select — each supplied as a hotend with its nozzle already fitted
- M3-14 step screws × 2 per hotend
- Each hotend in its own individually boxed packaging
Good to know before you buy
- These are bare hotends, not Complete Hotends. Each unit reuses the heating element, thermistor, silicone sock and hotend cooling fan already fitted to your printer. If you want a drop-in assembly that includes its own heater, temperature sensor and fan, choose a Bambu Complete Hotend instead.
- A silicone sock is not included with bare hotends — you transfer yours across. Socks are cheap and wear out faster than hotends, so a spare or two is a sensible add-on if you plan to swap often.
- Recalibrate after a swap. Run a flow and pressure-advance calibration in Bambu Studio after fitting a different nozzle size, and make sure the size is set correctly in the slicer so your profiles match reality.
- Larger nozzles need realistic flow settings. A 0.8 mm can outrun a standard-flow hotend if you push speed and width together — dial volumetric flow to suit rather than assuming maximum of both.
