If you want the underside of your prints to look as good as the top, this is the plate for it. The Bambu Smooth PEI Plate is a flexible spring-steel sheet coated on both sides with 0.125 mm PEI, giving the A1 mini a flat, low-texture build surface that transfers a clean semi-gloss finish straight onto the first layer. Where the textured plate leaves a deliberate stipple, the smooth plate leaves a mirror of the bed itself — perfect for nameplates, enclosure lids, gauge faces, laser-ready blanks and anything that gets glued or mated to another flat part.

It's a drop-in replacement for the plate that shipped with your A1 mini and a sensible second plate to keep in rotation: print one job, lift the plate out, drop in the spare and start the next while the first cools. The magnetic bed on the A1 mini holds it in place, and the steel flexes just enough that finished parts release with a gentle bow — no prying at a corner with a spatula.

• Smooth bottom surface. A fine satin PEI finish that hides layer start marks and leaves flat faces genuinely flat — the go-to plate when the first layer is a visible surface.
• Both sides usable. PEI is bonded to the top and bottom of the steel, so when one face eventually wears or gets a stubborn mark, flip it and carry on.
• Strong, predictable PLA adhesion. Run a 45–60 °C bed with no adhesive at all. Clean PEI grips hard while hot and lets go as it cools.
• Thin and stiff where it counts. 0.4 mm spring steel plus 0.125 mm PEI per side keeps thermal mass low, so the bed reaches temperature quickly and stays flat across the full 180 mm.
• Easy to maintain. Wash with warm water and dish soap, or wipe with isopropyl alcohol between prints. Avoid touching the print area with bare fingers — skin oils are the number-one cause of "my plate stopped sticking".

Important: always use a glue stick with PETG and TPU on smooth PEI. Without it these materials can bond hard enough to tear the PEI coating when the part is removed. Keep the surface below its 120 °C rating.
